Tift Merritt Stitch of the World.

I won an autographed copy of Tift Merritt’s latest release, Stitch of the World, and after playing a few times it found itself remaindered to the pile of CD’s to play on long car trips.   It was not until this evening that I truly heard the title track, “Stitch of the World” and it now stands out among my favorite all time Tift tracks.

Why does this track sound like a soundtrack to my earliest Tift memories?  The innocence and sweetness of her voice in the now and then period.
