Here is an article from 2016 brought forward today (beginning of a new year) to discuss 2022 web development trends and topics.

This is the most  “user-friendly” conversation on the subject of Jekyll vs. WordPress.   These two bearded lads open up a friendly conversation that goes a long way towards describing the “contrast and compare”  Jekyll and WordPress. A trusted friend (currently a front-end Web Developer) recommended I take a good look at Jekyll for my new websites as quite a few developers prefer and use Jekyll today.

I am deeply immersed in a 5 class Responsive website design certification thru the University of Michigan online. Loving Javascript right now! All of my websites were built on WordPress, prior to the release of Jekyll in the marketplace. Jekyll seems to win out with developers who want more control. The argument seems to be split along manual vs. automatic (see: transmission).

This “content” holds niche appeal. So be it.
