Now We live in Hamilton’s Republic find out why?
The “Hamilton” Broadway musical Uber hit of the 21st Century may leave one with the impression that Hamilton was well loved during his historical time. What is clear from contemporaries and contemporaneous writings for Hamilton’s period is that Hamilton and Adams/Jefferson had distinct differences on the constitution, and future direction of these United States of America.
A Little Green gem in song now
“Little Green” sits at the heart of Blue, a record many consider Mitchell’s magnum opus. The album’s openness about love, loss, and longing has made it a touchstone for listeners across generations. But for years, the story behind this particular track remained hidden, even as the song itself brimmed with hints of heartbreak and resilience.
It’s Down to you right now
“Down to You” stands as a towering achievement, not only for its hauntingly beautiful arrangement but for its penetrating insight into the human condition. This Grammy-winning piece offers a masterful telling of our shared struggles, triumphs, and contradictions, as though viewed from a high, five-dimensional perch.

Sirocco: Ka Bohaleng | Abel Selaocoe with Manchester Collective & Chesaba
Genre-defying cellist Abel Selaocoe is joined by his band Chesaba and the Manchester Collective string players in this electrifying take on a traditional South African song. Its title, ‘Ka Bohaleng’ (On The Sharp Side) references a common saying that “a woman holds a knife on the sharp end”. The song is a dedication to all mothers, and the women who take care of us through times of hardship. Filmed as part of the Sirocco tour at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester in October 2019. Manchester Collective feat. Chesaba Cello – Abel Selaocoe Percussion – Sidiki Dembele Violin – Rakhi Singh Violin – Simmy Singh Viola – Ruth Gibson Electric Bass – Alan Keary
